On March 14, I had the random and exciting opportunity to attend a construction tour of Griffon, the new coaster at Busch Gardens that I have been following progress on since this time last year. A week prior to this, my HR Manager at work said she was invited to this tour and wouldn't be able to make it, so she asked the park if someone else could go instead. She knew I liked coasters, and asked if the park would invite me in her place. So that's how I ended up here... very cool :)

I was slightly disappointed at first because the park representative told me I wouldn't be able to take any pictures. But, just by the slight chance that would change by the time I got there, I brought my camera anyway, expecting them to make me leave it behind. However, by the time I got down to the site, many other attendees also had cameras and the tour representative said it was fine to take as many as we wanted.

It was difficult to get any overall shots of the ride, so I focused on getting some closer-up shots from inside the ride area, which most people will not be able to get when they're inside the park. The ride itself looks awesome, and I can't wait to ride.
